The North Carolina Foster
Parent Association

The North Carolina Foster Parent Association
What is the North Carolina Foster Parent Association (NCFPA)?
NCFPA is a new and exciting organization of foster, adoptive, and kinship parents, child advocates, and others who work together to support the safety, well-being, and nurturing of the 11,500 children in North Carolinas foster care system.

Our mission is simple: to promote quality foster and adoptive services through collaborative advocacy, education, resources, and networking.

By working together for our states most vulnerable children, NCFPA helps ensure that every child receives exceptional care while in the foster care system, appropriate and effective services, and, ultimately, a safe, permanent, and loving home.

What does NCFPA do?
NCFPA provides support, information, and networking opportunities to foster, adoptive, and kinship parents in North Carolina. It offers:

a web page that includes information about NCFPA, resources for foster/adoptive parents, and current activities of the association. <http://www.ncfosterparents.org>
an annual fall training conference for foster/adoptive/kinship parents.
technical assistance and support for foster and adoptive parents and local associations; and
advocacy efforts for children in North Carolinas foster care system.
