Thank
You
by
Kenneth Harding Thomas
Thank you for the
helping hand in my time of need.
Thank you for pretending
my faults you do not see.
Thank you for understanding
the darkness in my soul.
Thank you for your
patience as you lead me toward my goal.
Sorrow's hand was
heavy when laid upon my life.
It carried with it
guilt and fear; anger, stress, and strife.
Your loving words
and gentle ways foster the strength I need
To face life each
day anyway and still feel I can succeed.
