Training:
Fostering and Adopting the Child Who Has Been Sexually Abused
This four-day train-the-trainer
curriculum enables MAPP-certified trainers to teach a course for foster
parents about working with sexually abused children.
Topics covered include:
understanding child sexual abuse, handling the double trauma of abuse
and placement, responding to disclosures of prior sexual abuse, managing
behaviors to meet the needs of children who have been sexually abused,
and much more.
In spring 2001 this training
is being offered on January 16-19 in Fayetteville/Lumberton and June
