Healthy Well-being in Care<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Keeping children, youth, and families healthy is one of the primary focuses for those who work within the substitute care system. Discussions on health and well-being can take on many different forms ranging from safe sleep for infants, to mental health for adolescents, to the well-being of resource parents. Yet, creating and maintaining healthy well-being for children, youth, and caregivers can be challenging because of the impact of childhood trauma. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this issue of Fostering Perspectives, we wanted to share a variety of viewpoints and experiences related to health and well-being. Those with lived experience, resource parents, and professionals share useful tips and techniques to improve your mental and physical health and that of those you care for. Hopefully, this issue inspires, educates, and enlightens you to consider different paths, strategies, and resources to maintain holistic well-being. We hope you find it helpful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
