If they are recommended to be tested, they will receive a link to a list of nearby testing sites via email or text.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncdhhs.gov\/TestingPlace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Find My Testing Place<\/a> allows people to input their county or ZIP code and access a list of nearby testing site locations online.<\/p>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #800080;\">National Guidance &amp; Resources<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coronavirus.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">coronavirus.gov<\/a> for the latest updates.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fosteringperspectives.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/CB_Logo-sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1939\" src=\"https:\/\/fosteringperspectives.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/CB_Logo-sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"109\" \/><\/a>The U.S. Children\u2019s Bureau recommends the following everyday preventative actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze; throw the tissue away immediately after you use it.<\/li>\n<li>Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you cough or sneeze.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick, as well.<\/li>\n<li>Try not to touch your eyes, nose, or mouth. While it may seem simple, germs often spread this way.<\/li>\n<li>At the workplace, wash your hands frequently and practice caution when coming into contact with commonly touched surfaces like door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Follow CDC Guidance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Children\u2019s Bureau also urges people to follow guidance from the CDC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/faq.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FAQ specifically about COVID and children<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/community\/home\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guidance for households<\/a> will be relevant and helpful to resource families<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foster and adoptive parents and kinship caregivers in North Carolina may find the following pandemic-related resources helpful.
